PHOENIX

Anti-Hero - Protagonist

Phoenix is a wandering, whiskey loving, tobacco smoking hard ass who is tormented by her tragic past. Struggling with her mental illnesses, she gets herself by with her sarcastic wit and the hope that one day her suffering will come to an end. In her distant past, she experienced a third World War that left the planet plunged into a severe global warming disaster. She lost her family after biochemicals tainted the fresh water supply. When she couldn't handle the outcome of her reality any more, she resolved to take her own life by drinking the water. But the chemicals that were meant to kill her instead gave her eternal life and fantastical abilities. She survived for a thousand years after the environmental cataclysm and now roams a planet which is only a small reflection of her past

DINO

Dino is an eleven year old orphan boy that Phoenix takes under her wing. She soon finds out the boy is gifted with special abilities. Is highly intelligent, a genius with technology, and holds the key to a mysterious purpose in Phoenix's future.

Etheria

Etheria is the spirit of Earth that haunts Phoenix's dreams and reality. Etheria has chosen Phoenix to help her eradicate humanity. For she herself can not destroy them alone. Continuing throughout the story in visions as a manipulative character, Etheria promises to end Phoenix's painful eternal life for the exchange of her help.

ELIZABETH MORGAN

A Sky Captain for the queen of new Britannia. She commands an all female crew, transporting cargo. Her deceased mother, captain Jane Morgan once had romantic feelings for Phoenix long ago. They say, like mother like daughter.

LEONARDO

A wild 18 year old, trouble making rogue who always finds a way to get himself into unfortunate situations. His puppy dog crush on Phoenix crashes in his attempts to flirt but never fails to be the comedy relief of her life.

ATHENA ROSE

Athena is an advanced engineer and technician. She used to work as a Sky Pirate with her brother. Then settled to sell tech parts in Canyon City. She becomes a valuable friend to Phoenix and helps her along her journey.

VIOLET

Violet is a young and feisty young soldier for Julius. She hopes to one day make captain of the team. She'll challenge anyone who claims to be better than her and isn't afraid to risk her own life. She won't make Phoenix's life any easier.

JULIUS

Julius is a genius at science and engineering. He's obsessed with time & digging up dangerous technology of the past. Then discovers Phoenix's immortality. Which leads to a dangerous hunt for her, in the name of science.

REXY

A baby ligaurd that Dino takes in as a traveling companion. He's friendly and cute. Though his personality is lovable he can be annoying to Phoenix.

ALEXANDRA

Alexandra is a fierce and dominating woman. Very seductive. Also the twin sister to Julius. She thrives off power, loses her temper easily and has an obsession with keys.

LANDSCAPES

Some of the landscapes of the Western parts of The American Wastelands is mostly desert. Northern areas are more tropical while Southern areas are far too hot to tolerate. But some people continue to tough it out even after a thousand years from the third World War that lead the planet into a plummeting state of global warming.

HYDROGEN + SOLAR POWERED AIRSHIPS

This is the best way to travel long distances in the world of Phoenix. Across the globe, some areas of the world are desert while others are tropical paradises. Sadly, much was lost in the last Great War. But people continue to thrive and find new ways to survive.

ANCIENT RUINS HAUNT THE LAND

The time we know is gone. And Phoenix has to remember it eternally as the way it once looked. But each place she explores deepens her depression as she is forced to accept the world that exists in her modern time.
